Assembly and welding as a value-added service means your team receives a finished, inspected subassembly — not a collection of individual components that your production line then has to join, fasten, and verify. Hardware is installed. Weld seams are inspected. Dimensional verification is completed against the assembly drawing before shipment.

How the Assembly Process Works

| 1. Drawing and BOM review | CipherFab's engineering team reviews the assembly drawing, BOM, and weld symbol callouts — DFM check on weld joint access, fixturing requirements, and hardware specifications. |
| 2. Component manufacturing | All component parts are manufactured — CNC machined, sheet metal fabricated, tube bent, 3D printed, or injection moulded — through CipherFab's supplier network. |
| 3. Incoming inspection | Each component is dimensionally inspected against its drawing before assembly begins. |
| 4. Fixturing | Components are fixtured to the assembly drawing datum scheme — controlling distortion and maintaining dimensional consistency through the assembly operation. |
| 5. Assembly and welding | Weld seams deposited to the specified process (MIG, TIG, laser, spot) and quality level (ISO 5817 Level B or C); PEM inserts installed; hardware fastened to the specified torque values. |
| 6. Weld inspection | Weld visual inspection completed; NDT (dye penetrant or magnetic particle) performed where specified; post-weld straightening where required. |
| 7. Dimensional verification | Assembly inspected against assembly drawing — critical dimensions, hole patterns, and interface features verified. |
| 8. Shipment | Finished subassembly packaged with CoC, weld inspection documentation, and dimensional report. |
